Grading Policy:  The science department of Axtell High School follows the guidelines as indicated in the student's handbook which are as follows:

   " In junior and senior high school, number (percentage) grades are used.  90 - 100 is an "A"; 80 - 89 is a "B"; 70 - 79 is a "C" and

69 and below is "F" (failing).  "I" (incomplete) becomes "F" after ten (10) days unless there are unusual circumstances".

Additionally, "Students are responsible for their work and must turn in work at the designated time.  Late work will not be

       accepted" (p. 16, 2007-2008 Axtell Student Handbook).

Grades are determined by a campus-wide formula:  Each 6 weeks grade is a 50/50 average of daily grades and test grades.
